About Fractional Resurfacing

Fractional resurfacing provides the best treatment available for skin resurfacing. It stimulates collagen regeneration at the same time enhancing the quality and texture of the dermis.

A predetermined fractional resurfacing laser beam is passed across your face. The beam penetrates the skin creating an ablative and thermal occurrence without disturbing any of the surrounding tissue. The treated areas begin the process of healing as the collagen is rejuvenated; your skin tightens leaving you with a smoother surface texture. Because a laser is involved it reduces the chance of infection. It is not necessary to have pain medication during the procedure and in most cases you can return to normal daily activities right away.

After your fractional resurfacing treatment, side effects like peeling and redness may occur before you can begin enjoying your results. It takes most patients 1-3 months to see full results, and once the treated area is fully healed, additional treatments can be performed until the optimal affect is achieved.
