Smart Lipo MPX

What is SmartLipo MPX?

SmartLipo MPX is a liposculpting technique which relies on the power and energy of two lasers to dissolve stubborn fat while tightening skin. The technique uses both lasers to achieve more precise results, with less downtime and trauma than are experienced with traditional techniques.

How is SmartLipo MPX different from other procedures?

The SmartLipo MPX uses two lasers operating at different frequencies, offering a number of advantages over other treatments, including:

• More effective fat removal
• Overall skin tightening in the treatment area
• Reduced recovery time
• Less swelling
• Less bruising
• More reliable results
• More precise, sculpted results

Who is a candidate for SmartLipo MPX?

Any individual has deposits of fat which are resistant to diet and exercise can be a good candidate for the SmartLipo MPX technique. Ideal candidates are in good health and are within 20 to 25 pounds of their ideal weight.

What areas does SmartLipo MPX improve?

The SmartLipo MPX procedure has been designed to effectively treat fatty tissue which is located in many areas of the body, including:
• Abdomen
• Back
• Butt
• Inner and outer thighs
• Arms
• Neck
• Chin

It can also be used to treat gynecomastia, or male breast enlargement.

How is the procedure performed?

First, the treatment area will be thoroughly cleaned. Next, your specialist will use a local anesthetic to numb the area. Once numbed, the specialist will make a small incision near the treatment site. The SmartLipo MPX specially designed cannula, or tube, will be inserted through the incision directly into the treatment area. A laser at the tip of the cannula will be fired multiple times to break up fat deposits, and then the cannula will be used to suction out the resulting liquid. In most cases, it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to treat an individual area.

What is the recovery like?

Recovery is reduced with the SmartLipo MPX system, since there is less trauma to the treatment site during the procedure. You may have some slight swelling and bruising, which will resolve within a few hours to a few days. You may be given a compression garment to wear as an aid in healing. Most men and women are able to return to work within a couple of days of the procedure.

What will the results be like?

You’ll see the first results of the procedure within a week or so of your treatment, and can expect to see visible improvement in those results for weeks or even months afterward, as your skin and your body accommodate your new contours. Generally, the more fat which is removed, the longer it will be until you see the final results, with some improvements occurring a year after treatment when large amounts of fat are removed.

What are the risks or possible side effects?

Any surgery involves a small risk of infection. In addition, there may be some slight risk of burns related to the laser. Certain medical conditions can carry additional risks, and you should discuss any health conditions or medications with your specialist prior to your procedure.

Is SmartLipo MPX approved for use in USA?

Yes, the SmartLipo MPX technique is approved for use in the USA.

Is SmartLipo MPX covered by insurance companies?

No, like most cosmetic procedures, SmartLipo MPX is not covered by insurance companies.

How much does SmartLipo MPX cost?

Costs vary, based on the extent of treatment, usually ranging from $2,500 to $7,000.
