What is Evolence?
Evolence is an injectable filler derived from porcine (pig) collagen, and which is used to fill and “plump up” facial lines, folds, and wrinkles, as well as scars and other hollows and depressions in the skin. Evolence’s cross-linking formula binds with the skin’s natural collagen, allowing more natural looking, longer-lasting results. Evolence is very well tolerated by most men and women, and can help you achieve a more revived, energized, youthful appearance.
How does Evolence work?
Once injected beneath the skin, Evolence fills lines and depressions in the surface of the skin, and over time, binds with collagen for longer-lasting results.
What are the advantages of Evolence over other procedures?
The advantages of Evolence over other fillers are numerous. Compared to other fillers, Evolence:
• Is longer-lasting
• Is stronger
• Requires fewer touch-ups
• Is associated with little to no recovery time
• Offers immediate visible results
• Is more natural-looking
• Has fewer allergy-related side effects
Who is a candidate for Evolence?
Evolence is an ideal choice for men and women with fine to deep facial wrinkles, scarring, lines, and other surface imperfections, and who want a procedure which offers long-lasting results with minimal downtime.
How is the procedure performed?
Your Evolence procedure will be performed on an outpatient basis. In some cases, your specialist will numb the area to be injected with a topical numbing cream. Once the injections sites are numb, the collagen-based filler will be injected through a fine needle, directly into the treatment areas. In some cases, you’ll need more than one injection to make sure the filler is distributed evenly throughout the area.
What is the recovery like?
Immediately following your procedure, you may notice some slight redness, swelling, or minor discomfort in the treatment areas, which can be effectively treated with over-the-counter medication and the application of ice packs. After your Evolence procedure, you can resume your normal activities right away.
What will my results be like?
With Evolence, you’ll notice immediate visible results, which will last from six months to a year in most individuals.
What are the risks?
Like any injection, Evolence carries a very slight risk of infection at the injection site. Bruising may also occur in some individuals, and usually resolves within three to five days. Be sure to discuss ay health conditions you have, or medications you may be taking, with your specialist prior to undergoing the procedure, to ensure there are no additional potential risks.
Is the Evolence procedure approved for use in the U.S.?
Yes, the Evolence product is approved for cosmetic dermal filler procedures in the U.S.
Is the Evolence procedure covered by insurance companies?
Because the Evolence procedure is cosmetic, medical insurers do not offer coverage in most cases.
How much does Evolence cost?
As with any other filler product, the cost of your Evolence treatment will depend on the results you want to achieve, and the size of the area being treated. Prices may also vary geographically. Overall, the cost of treating a single area with Evolence ranges from about $400 to $500 in most cases.
