Hormone replacement therapy is a topic which remains highly controversial amongst aging women today. On the one hand, HRT has the potential diminish or eradicate many of the uncomfortable side effects of aging so that the woman taking it can live a saner, healthier, more comfortable life as she ages. On the other hand, there are fears that HRT can be damaging to the health in the long term.
In order to find a solution to this problem, it is necessary to seek out ways to maintain the benefits of HRT while reducing its risks. One of those ways appears to be for women to take HRT via a patch rather than using hormone replacement therapy pills. That's because there seems to be a much lower risk of blood clotting (and related problems caused by blood clots) when HRT is taken in patch form.
