Hot Flashes: Menopause as Midlife Reinvention

There is a web / blog series which is about to be turned into a Broadway musical and it might be of great interest to those women who are currently dealing with issues of menopause. The blog details the ups and downs of being an aging woman and the musical is sure to do the same.

The blog isn't just about the physical things that happen to women as they age. In fact, it's more about the emotional situation of being an aging woman. It's about the things that happen to women in today's society - things like menopausal divorces and the need to re-enter the dating pool as a post-menopausal woman.

It's been said that the Broadway show is taking a look at something that many aging women are interested in these days: "menopause as midlife reinvention". In other words, women are realizing that getting older doesn't mean that they're practically dead. They're realizing that menopause is just another part of life and they can move on from it to a new stage of being who they are. In other words, Hot Flashes celebrates the empowerment of aging women.
