Spring is officially here today and that means that it's going to start getting hotter out any day now. Before that sun starts shining on your skin, remember that there are some things that you can do to protect your body from aging as a result of the sun.
Here are some basic springtime reminders:
- Drink more water. The warmer it is, the more water your body needs. When you get dehydrated, you make it more difficult for your skin to look young. You may want to consider some colonic irrigation to give your system a fresh start.
- Book laser treatments for the evenings. You should get treatments like laser hair removal or laser resurfacing and then expose that skin to the sun so book those appointments later in the day.
- Keep your medicines in the right temperature. If you're taking hormone replacement therapy or other anti-aging medicines, you'll want to make sure that you're not letting them get hotter than they should in your home.
- Exercise earlier or later. If you engage in mid-day exercise, you might want to switch to a time of day that won't expose you to too much sun.
The main goal is to protect your skin from the sun so that you can avoid age spots, wrinkles and other signs of aging. Don't forget that sunscreen!
